Garbage deposit
Due to the fact that many festival guests asked us for it, we are finally introducing a garbage deposit. And not only that: For 2010, we are working on improving our measures in terms of being more environmentally friendly and keeping the festival site clean. The garbage deposit will only be one measure. We promise you – this will not lead to any inconvenience for you, but only to a more comfortable festival experience. You will get the 5,- Euro garbage deposit back on returning a full garbage bag and your deposit chip (you will get with your wristband) to us. We will provide you with further info on the exact proceedure in time for the festival.
Camping only with ticket!
We also have more new introductions: You will only be able to camp at the festival site with a festival ticket! This is a necessary step we have to take to ensure your safety and the safety of your luggage better. Festival visitors with a two-day ticket are still allowed to stay on the camp site for three days and they will also be able to visit the Sleepless floor on Sunday.
Ticket categories
And now we would also like to give you some more handy info on buying your ticket in 2010: Melt! festival was sold out in advance for the first time this year, so we recommend that you buy your festival ticket well in time before the event. Moreover, there will probably be no day tickets available this year. We will still offer two-day tickets (Friday/Saturday), but these will be limited to 2,000 tickets. We recommend everyone who already knows that they will not stay for the Sunday, to buy their ticket well in advance. Tickets are available at all box offices connected to CTS as well as on our website as paper ticket via mail or as E-ticket to print out. Our festival-own colourful hardpaper tickets will be available from March.
Black market
Please do only buy your tickets at the official box offices or the listed points of pre-sale or on our website. In the past, black market sellers sold forged, but real looking tickets to our guests. The tickets will be checked on arrival and ticket holders with forged tickets will not be granted entry to the festival site and they will not under any circumstances get any money back!
Ticket exchange
We do not exchange or take back tickets (e.g. from a three-day ticket to a two-day ticket or the other way around), if the event was not cancelled or moved to another date. In the latter case, only original tickets can be exchanged or given back at the point of sale. Pre-sale fees or packing and postage are not compensated for. No compensation for lost tickets!
Ticket validity
Entrance to the festival is only allowed with a valid ticket. Visitors are responsible for their own tickets and wristbands. Lost tickets will not be replaced. A ticket will be exchanged for a wristband at the entrance which will allow the visitor to have multiple entries to the festival site. The ticket loses its’ validity once it is exchanged for a wristband. Tickets without a ticket stub are no longer valid and will in no way lead to entry. A two day ticket cannot be exchanged into a three day ticket at the festival. There will be no day tickets in 2010.
